Building on recent work which has shown benefits to reminiscence therapy in a group setting, we develop and evaluate a system, REMPAD, which profiles people with Alzheimer's and other dementias, and provides multimedia content tailored to a given group context. This personalisation approach is naturally suited to tasks in healthcare, such as reminiscence therapy, where there has been a trend towards an increased emphasis on person-centred care. In recent years recommender systems have seen popularity in providing a personalised experience in information discovery tasks. This paper presents and evaluates a novel approach for automatically recommending multimedia content for use in group reminiscence therapy for people with Alzheimer's and other dementias. ![]() ![]() She says relative prices for EVs going forward “will continue to fall.” And Catherine Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, says the falling costs of batteries will drive prices of EVs to lower than costs for “like-to-like” fossil fuel-powered vehicles over the next 18 to 24 months. Also parts of me just wanted to write an angel, and Misha’s preformance as the Leviathans just really touched a nerve for me. Aside from that I found the concept of the Leviathans fascinating and criminally mishandled at the same time. It is the first time that I switched up a writing style so drastically. Anyway the fact that Ruby had a drive and a clear role in the story fascinated me. I also think that Genevieve is really, really hot. I also loved that through her, Sam was allowed to take a darker turn as a character. She was a manipulator, she was cunning, she masked to hide her real intentions. Whereas Meg was pure utter chaos, which is fun in Season One and Two, Ruby fit more my alley. However what really drew me to Ruby that she felt like a slightly more fleshed out version then Meg. One of the reasons I added Ruby as a muse was actually the desire to write some more female characters. ![]() ![]() #Redken color lines fullNourishing protection that seals in moisture, softness and shine for up to 30 full shampoosĭesigned to remove natural and artificial hair color, best used to create highlights, all over blonde or change previous artificial hair color depth and tone.100% replenished and restrengthened hair.Joico Lumishine transforms hair from the inside out with breakthrough ArgiPlex Technology, delivering astonishing shine, color longevity, and overall healthier hair-guaranteed! The Iraqi government released an official video of his execution, showing him being led to the gallows, and ending after the hangman's noose was placed over his head. If you can believe it, the Brothers Grimm actually made this story a lot nicer than it was when they got their hands on it. Don’t worry, the wife tries to kill and eat the babies first, so it’s all morally sound. The king who raped her is already married, but he burns his wife alive so he and Talia can be together. Some time after that, still unconscious, she gives birth to two children, and one of them accidentally sucks the splinter out of her finger, so she wakes up. Later, a king out hunting in the woods finds her, and since he can’t wake her up, rapes her while she’s unconscious, then heads home to his own country. She falls down, apparently dead, but her father cannot face the idea of losing her, so he lays her body on a bed in one of his estates. In one of the very earliest versions of this classic story, published in 1634 by Giambattista Basile as Sun, Moon, and Talia, the princess does not prick her finger on a spindle, but rather gets a sliver of flax stuck under her fingernail. Take a look at a few terrifying, gruesome, often bizarre early versions of ubiquitous fairy tales after the jump, and maybe you’ll think twice before reading “Little Red Riding Hood” before you go to bed. Then again, none of the stories with people getting nailed into barrels and thrown down hills or into ponds have really made it into the mainstream. While reading, we were struck by how many of our most pervasive stories can be found in the Grimm tales, or even earlier, and also by how much some of the stories have changed along the way - all the blindings and sexual misconduct and death have been mostly scrubbed away. Luckily, Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm: A New English Version, edited by fabulist extraordinaire Philip Pullman and on shelves today, is packed with them, complete with smart commentary and playful prose. If you know anything about us, you should know this: we’re suckers for a good story. ![]() |
